Kim Terrio, CTC and Vice President of Penny Pitou Travel Inc. began her career in 1975 after completing the Travel Program at Wilma Boyd Career School in Pittsburgh PA. Kim quickly realized she had picked the perfect career path after her first “fam trip” to St. Thomas. Within a few years, she was promoted to the manager, opened several branch offices and created and taught a 12 week travel agent training course rotating throughout the year.
With the changes to the industry in the mid-1990’s , Kim realized that leisure travel was the direction she wanted to take the agency. Along with what she considers the best agents in the business, Kim shifted the business to entirely leisure and the business has thrived.
Penny Pitou Travel Inc. was one of the early members of Travelsavers but it was in the background and not a true focus. Kim credits the amazing people at Travelsavers and in particular, Steve Phillips for pushing her to reevaluate what was being sold, focus business to the preferred suppliers and market those companies exclusively. Being “Elite” with Travelsavers is a great accomplishment for our central NH agency.
Kim truly loves discussing travel, planning “experiences” for her clients and working with an amazing group of agents, suppliers and the supportive group at Travelsavers.
